Age 12 - 14 years.   Upper part of BIG MAN. Portobello High School   Crocodile carved from semi-rotten tree trunk pulled out of the river Esk. When carving was complete, the remaining body was as hard as bone. Class project, Portobello High School. Length = 200cm (118")   MOSAIC. Class project - Portobello High School 1975 - 1980.Made from various hardwood: oak, boxwood, rosewood, lilac, ebony, pinewood, teak. 130cm x 110cm x 5cm (51" x 43" x 2")   BULL. Engraved and burned in a wooden panel by using gouges, blow lamp and electrical welding hammer. Age 12 - 14. 92cm x 61cm (36" x 24")   LITTLE MAN BOASTING. Made from scrapyard wooden pieces; wood of various grain and colour. Height = 61cm (24")   CANDLEHOLDER Coil modelled ceramic. Age 12 - 14 Height = 56cm (22")   TWO IRONMEN Created after Zigi and the boys visited a metal scrapyard in Edinburgh. Iron, aluminium, zinc, copper, brass, stainless steel in the form of scraps and wire nails were also used. Tall Figure = 81cm (28"). Small Figure = 58cm (23")   HORSE. Modelled in chamotte clay and fired. Age group 14 - 16 years. Height = 61cm x 51cm (24" x 20")
